Cute, romantic。

It was a cute book。 I liked our MCs and the fact that we knew what would happen but it wasn’t super boring。 I love witchy books and enjoyed the series。 I would have added one more spicy scene but that’s just me 🙃 What would you do if the guy you were just DTF ended up being your way out and you ended up marrying him? Things definitely escalated quickly in this book but it was an act now ask questions later type of deal。

Such a cute cozy little world。

First, I didn’t realize this was #3 in a series。 It does well enough as a stand alone book。 I enjoyed the concept - a woman (who happens to be a witch) who is tired of being the PR to a misogynistic mayor and city council decides to run for office herself and to boost her image, she marries a man she just met。 This man has been broken hearted and unemployed and lives with his toxic family and jumps at the opportunity。 I had a hard time liking Leanne - she just used everyone and everything to get First, I didn’t realize this was #3 in a series。 It does well enough as a stand alone book。 I enjoyed the concept - a woman (who happens to be a witch) who is tired of being the PR to a misogynistic mayor and city council decides to run for office herself and to boost her image, she marries a man she just met。 This man has been broken hearted and unemployed and lives with his toxic family and jumps at the opportunity。 I had a hard time liking Leanne - she just used everyone and everything to get what she wanted。 Much of the dialogue seemed forced and too much “slice of life” than actually moving the plot along。 There were two sex scenes that didn’t need to be as detailed as they were, but they were quick。 I wished there was more magic involved, but I guess that was one of the points the book was trying to make - they are WITCHES nor does magic consume their lives…they are normal women who happen to be apt at magic much like others would be apt at cooking or pottery or gardening。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This was my favorite of the three books。 I really enjoyed the way the relationship between Trevor and Leanne grows。 I also was quite moved by how Trevor's anxiety and depression was portrayed in the book。 I loved how he grew from just existing to living。 While this seemed to be the least "witchy" of the three until the last third of the book, the witch elements were well placed and well used to further the story。 I enjoyed this series tremendously。 This was my favorite of the three books。 I really enjoyed the way the relationship between Trevor and Leanne grows。 I also was quite moved by how Trevor's anxiety and depression was portrayed in the book。 I loved how he grew from just existing to living。 While this seemed to be the least "witchy" of the three until the last third of the book, the witch elements were well placed and well used to further the story。 I enjoyed this series tremendously。 。。。more

Loved this story of a marriage of convenience。 For her career, She must find a husband。 He has nothing to lose。 Twist in a bit of witchcraft, chemistry, and knowing these characters from the other books in the series and voila! A nice little romance for anyone to enjoy and love。Thank you to Dreamscape and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and honestly review this story。

I loved the first two books in Ann Aguirre’s Fix-It Witches series so I knew I wanted to read "Extra Witchy" when I first saw it announced。 I went with the audio for this one and listened to it on my morning runs this last weekend。 It was fun - these were angsty characters with quite a bit of baggage and marriage for convenience is not necessarily my favorite romcom trope but the main characters are kind and supportive of each other。 It's wonderful to see how Leanne and Trevor complimented each I loved the first two books in Ann Aguirre’s Fix-It Witches series so I knew I wanted to read "Extra Witchy" when I first saw it announced。 I went with the audio for this one and listened to it on my morning runs this last weekend。 It was fun - these were angsty characters with quite a bit of baggage and marriage for convenience is not necessarily my favorite romcom trope but the main characters are kind and supportive of each other。 It's wonderful to see how Leanne and Trevor complimented each other and grew together。 Their shared kindness and support instead of endless misunderstandings make this a fun story about trust, healing, finding love in unexpected places, and (of course) witches and witch hunters !This was a sweet return to the Fix-It Witches World and while it was nice to get bits of Danica’s and Clem’s stories sprinkled in this could definitely be read as a stand-alone。The audio was very well done and Ava Lucas’ narration added to the atmosphere and story ! 。。。more

3/5I did not read the first two books in the series。 I read this as a standalone so I was not familiar with the world or the characters beforehand。 Personally, I was not a big fan of the main two in the beginning。 I am fine with a woman having ambition and the man being a stay at home homemaker。 However, it seemed like Trevor did not know what he wanted with his life or have any passion。 Leanne was a little pushy but she did know what she wanted。 I understand this might say something about me bu 3/5I did not read the first two books in the series。 I read this as a standalone so I was not familiar with the world or the characters beforehand。 Personally, I was not a big fan of the main two in the beginning。 I am fine with a woman having ambition and the man being a stay at home homemaker。 However, it seemed like Trevor did not know what he wanted with his life or have any passion。 Leanne was a little pushy but she did know what she wanted。 I understand this might say something about me but I am really really glad a story like this exists。 Although I was not a huge fan, other might see themselves in and relate to Trevor and Leanne。 As the story progressed, Trevor became less depressed and found his passion。 Leanne felt supported and was going after her goals。 The “book club” ladies were funny and made Leanne more relatable。 It was not my favorite book but elements were enjoyable and it was unique。Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review。 。。。more

My last book of 2022!! I can’t believe I got one more in。 Extra Witchy is the third in the series and another amazing story。 The marriage of convenience was done so well! I adored their chemistry。 Not only that, I enjoyed seeing the relationships between friends also build。 It made the characters more real。

I've really enjoyed this serious so I was pumped to read the third book and it didn't disappoint。 Fake marriage isn't the romance troupe I typically gravitate towards, but love Ann's spin on it。 Not to mention the magic element really made it stand out。 I also really appreciated that Trev as a different type of romantic interest -- one that I haven't seen in romance a lot。 I think Ann did a great job of balancing Trev's previous struggles with mental health and how that played a role in his rela I've really enjoyed this serious so I was pumped to read the third book and it didn't disappoint。 Fake marriage isn't the romance troupe I typically gravitate towards, but love Ann's spin on it。 Not to mention the magic element really made it stand out。 I also really appreciated that Trev as a different type of romantic interest -- one that I haven't seen in romance a lot。 I think Ann did a great job of balancing Trev's previous struggles with mental health and how that played a role in his relationship with Leanne and his friends。 A lot of the times, it feels like the romantic interest has it together and the protagonist is the one trying to figure things out。 So it was nice to see it flipped this time around。 I have to say Ann did such a great job with this series, because all the books are basically happening in the same timeline -- so they overlap。 So things that didn't make sense for side characters becomes clear when they have their own book。This book dealt with some tough issues in a way that was sensitive but also didn't make the story feel heavy。 I hope this isn't the last book in the series! Thanks again to NetGalley and Sourcebooks for an arc of this book! 。。。more

It’s slightly better than the previous book, at least sex scenes don’t give that nasty, dirty feeling and it looks now more like a story。I kinda like for the change that here not a man is rich and powerful, but a woman。 And a houseman is adorable, all the cooking and making his woman comfortable。The story is nicer and better than in the previous two books, it finally makes sense! The first book in this series was good but with the second book I didn’t care for the heroine。 And I didn’t like the heroine from this book when she was the secondary character in the first two books in the series。 So I don’t know why I thought I would like her and her story when she got her own book。
